I know I haven't posted in awhile, life has been very busy for me lately. Plus the fact that it has been raining almost every weekend and evening when I get home. I haven't really been out to take photos.
Today was the first beautiful day we have had in awhile. We grabbed our camera bags and took advantage. We just got hom not too long ago but I wanted to share just one photo of a beautiful ending to a beautiful day. Nothing like watching the sun go down with the person you love the most in life:) There will be more photos to come from our adventure tomorrow.

My daughter Autumn came by this morning so I finally got the photos I have been wanting to get for quite awhile...both grandbabies in one picture! I called Ashley & had her bring Sarah over.I set the studio up in the living room this morning by myself and it was my first time to set up a complete studio. The photos I took of Autumn & Leah were taken first and the lighting was too bright so I had to work on the photos quite a bit. I was taking a friends advice and focusing less on the technical stuff and gettting back to what originally made me love photography. I love capturing moments! Sometimes your close friends have to help you to see things. When my husband finally woke up this morning he helped me with all the settings so when I took the photos of all 4 the lighting was muchhhh better.I will be so happy when I know this stuff and can do all the technical stuff on my own. Until then I am going back to enjoying photography again.I still have more photos to go through and work on but I figured i would post a few :)

This is my step daughter Mara and she loves being a model for me. I was making her come up with most of the poses on her own. She did such a good job. These pretty ladies were at the park attempting to take group photos with cell phones. I asked them if we could take their photos and email them to them. They thought it was a gimick at first but I assured them it was only so we could get practice. I am about to email them over but figured I would share.

Brian and I are home alone this weekend so really late last night Brian decided he wanted to play with the lighting in the studio some more. I had to play the subject and I am not too fond of being in front of the camera...at all!! I didn't like most of the photos because I really need to loose some weight but Brian did a pretty good job with the lighting. He went today to the bookstore and got another book on lighting. He is also researching into getting some Alien Bee lights. I guess he is pretty serious about the portrait studio thing. I am finding myself more interested in it watching him and learning. I had fun playing with these photos in Corel. I haven't sat down and minipulated photos in awhile. I think I miss it.
